"Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen Gateway Mall 1 4/5 We came here on a Saturday lunchtime and it was not packed at all. There were just enough people for the place to feel lively, and we were able to get a table right away with no waiting. The staff were very nice and polite. They greeted us when we arrived and said goodbye when we left, without being overbearing or making a big fuss. One downside was the free bread. It did not taste as good as it usually does. The top part in particular had a sour taste, almost like sourdough, but with a specific flavor that felt a bit off. The fried chicken itself was pretty good, but the gravy was not to our liking and did not really work for us flavor wise. The truffle mac and cheese is always delicious, but I wish it had more of that crust on top. Most of it felt like noodles in a very saucy base, and a bit more texture would have made it better. The fries tasted very similar to KFC fries, which is not necessarily bad, but nothing special. My biggest issues were really the gravy and the free bread not being up to their usual standard. Other than that, the service was great and the rest of the food was still enjoyable."

"The steaks were cooked perfectly with an appetizing crust and a juicy interior. The char on the outside was amazing and the inside was cooked exactly as we like it. The sear was fantastic and the flavors were incredible. Highly recommended steak and pasta house if you’re near Gateway Mall 2, Cubao. Customer service is also good. We’ll definitely comeback."

"Mama Lou’s in Gateway Cubao gave us a really pleasant dining experience. The place has a cozy and homey Italian vibe, though the space is on the smaller side, so it can feel a bit snug during peak hours. Despite that, the ambiance and interior make it still a comfortable and charming spot for a date or a simple treat with your partner. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. We tried their pasta, pizza, and pork chop, and all were served in generous portions with great flavor. The dishes were well-prepared, satisfying, and worth the price for the quality. We even enjoyed our food so much that we had some packed to go. Overall, Mama Lou’s is a great place to visit if you’re craving good Italian food in a warm and welcoming setting."

"The food is really 5 stars here but I have to remove one to consider value for money. This is not a place where you would casually eat lunch (which I intended this visit to be). But I guess it's a good date place or when you want to splurge a little bit. The Spinach Ravioli is excellent. The truffle pasta is also good. We ordered a salmon dish pero last syang na serve... It's good but I think it should have been served first kasi mas mild yung flavor profile nya than the other dishes we had earlier. Service was excellent. The complimentary bread was also of good quality. Di lang bet ng jowa ko. Masyado daw maasim yung balsamic vinegar pero ok naman sa akin. The place might benefit from considering affordability in their menu. Kahit yung for sharing na for two lang. Another thing is the location. I think it's not in the best place considering the average price point ng menu."
